"They are extremely talented and very professional.  They make the best custom built cabinetry that I have seen and they are always the first design partner that I call to participate on a project."

Janie K. Hirsch, ASID

"I was extremely pleased with their design, millwork, color scheme and the finished product.  I get many compliments on the cabinets in my kitchen and master bathroom."

 Bruce Houle

"I must say, out of all the things we’ve had done in our home, this was by far the best experience of all.  I would highly recommend Keystone to anyone."

I cannot thank you enough for your unbelievable professionalism in dealing with my house.  I am SO thrilled with the quality of your work that I doubt you'll ever know . . . . everything is truly beautiful!  Although I'm out of town, it sounds as though everything has really worked out well.  Again, I really appreciate all your hard work and dedication.

Whether you are planning new construction or a kitchen remodel, your cabinet budget will be structured about the same.  According to the National Kitchen and Bath Association, current costs to remodel a kitchen range from $15,000 to $45,000, with an average price of almost $27,000.

Consider the market value of your home to determine your remodeling budget.  Studies suggest that 90-98% of kitchen remodeling costs can be recouped, but kitchen remodeling is only a good investment if the cost is relative to the house's worth.  Generally speaking, a kitchen remodeling budget should not exceed 15% of your home's value.  Of this budget, at least one half of the cost should be designated for cabinetry.  Another 15% can be expected for appliances flooring, and other goods like lighting, plumbing fixtures, eetc.  The remaining 35% includes the costs of labor, design, contracting services, permit fees, etc.

Be honest about your cabinet budget.  We will be happy to work within your reasonable guidelines if we understand limitations from the onset.  Better communication in planning results in lower stress for everyone. Plan ahead.  The best way to avoid overspending your budget is to be specific in your planning.  Even with careful observance, you can expect a budget overrun due to unforseen costs and unbudgeted expenditures.  Know what you need vs. what you want.

*With any project we ask that the client spend some time searching magazines for pictures of looks that fit their style and color palette.  Other great options for preliminary research are model homes, design centers, and home shows.

*If you are working on a kitchen, please research your appliances.  The layout is dependent upon knowing the type appliances you will be using.  Are you going to use a cooktop and double oven, or a freestanding range?  Free standing or built in refrigerator?  Other considerations are microwave type, warming drawer, and prep sink.  Every kitchen is designed around appliances and having this information up front allows the design process to move forward.

Call us for an appointment, and bring your blueprints in for a consultation with one of our designers.  We will give you a brief tour of our 22,000 square foot shop and let you see our construction process. Then we will sit down and go over each area of cabinetry and discuss material, door styles, and color.  After the design is agreed and signed off on, your designer will visit the site for final measurements and to mark plumbing and electrical for the builder.  After installation the designer will return to the site to do a quality walk thru with the builder and/or homeowner.

If you are remodeling your existing space, please call us to set up an appointment for an in house consultation.  One of our designers will come to your home and discuss your desires for an updated space.  Whether you want to replace what you have with new products, or want to move walls and appliances to create a brand new space, the designers at Keystone are up for the challenge.  While we are not a turnkey operation, visit our references page to see if one of our construction partners might suit your needs for contracting services.  After the initial consultation we will invite you to tour our facility and begin the selection and design process.  After the design is finalized, and the cabinets produced, one of our qualified installation teams will deliver and install your new cabinetry.  Finally the designer will return to your home to do a walk thru with you to insure your satisfaction.

Maybe you would like new doors and drawer fronts and a new color or finish for your existing cabinets.  At Keystone Millworks we offer this service as well.  Come into our facility and select a door style and finish.  We will also discuss whether you will need new hinges, drawer boxes and new hardware.  If you are a "do it yourselfer" you will need to provide us with door and drawer measurements.  If you want our professionals to handle the measuring and installation for you, we will be happy to do it. We also have the ability to come to your home and respray your kitchen with a new color or finish.  Please call us to set up an appointment.
